Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds Head to Lebanon Valley Saturday Night

Albany-Saratoga Speedway - Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series

WEST LEBANON, NY – The MVVDMS is looking to make there first appearance to the Capital District as the series will invade the historic banked 1/2 mile of Lebanon Valley Speedway on Saturday, June 26th.

The series looks forward to be bringing the fans of the “Valley Of Speed” a fun and exciting night of racing that will bring back the memories of the past with the cars and stars that called Lebanon Valley their home track in the past.

Back turning laps will be long time chauffeur and staple to the Speedway will be Stanley Wetmore. The 77yr old started racing as a teen at the Speedway. His never give up attitude finally paid off as it took him 31yrs to get his first big block win. He claimed the popular win in 1994.

Another driver that made his mark at the Speedway is John Flach. John won back to back Lebanon Valley Speedway BIG Block Modified Championships in 1988 and 1989.

A car that’s getting dusted off since 1970 will be making a return to the Speedway, and thats the #56 machine of the Late Tom Athanas. This car will be driven by Toms grandson David Athanas.




The series is fortunate to have a great bunch of drivers that will be representing drivers that has molded the history of the Speedway along with the other drivers representing the days of yester-years while keeping the memories of the past alive.

Fans will also see the #115 tribute car of Kenny Tremont driven by Dan Wood in the Vintage Sportsman division. Also in the Vintage Antique class Chuck Scofield will be bringing his tribute car off Chuck Ely #115.

As always the MVVDMS will be representing the many era’s of racings past with five divisions for the great fan and Vintage enthusiasts to enjoy as the dedicated drivers will take them a step back into time.

Hitting the “High Banks” will be the popular Vintage Antique, Vintage Sportsman, Vintage Mystique Vintage Modified and the Late Models.

Our next MVVDMS Vintage invasion to the Lebanon Valley Speedway will be on Saturday, August 28th.
