Merrittville Speedway Continuing to Race Through 2020

THOROLD, ONT – Merrittville Speedway will be continuing to run weekly through October 11th. The 69th season of racing at the Thorold, Ontario oval has been one for the history books and is continuing to play host to the top drivers throughout the Niagara Region and beyond.

“We cannot do this without the support of all of our marketing partners, teams, drivers, crew members, and officials”, comments Merrittville Speedway owners Don and Lorraine Spiece.

A full Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series program of S&W Service Centre 358 Modifieds, Rick’s Delivery DIRTcar Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, RONA/Doidge Building Centres Mod Lites, Central Fabricating/Glo & Go Tanning 4 Cylinders, and James’ Auto V6 will be on the card for August 22. August 29th will feature the 360 Sprint Cars plus Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and V6.

The month of September comes in with a full Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series program on September 5. The very next day, September 6 will be the traditional Enduro 100 as well as a flagpole race, backwards race, and more. September 12 will see the 360’s return with the Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Mod Lites, and V6. The following week, the 358 Modifieds are back to headline the show with 360 Sprint Cars, Hoosier Stocks, Mod Lites, and 4 Cylinders. September 26 will feature a full Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series Program.

Heading into October, the Sportsman and 360 Sprint Cars will co-headline the October 3rd racing action with Mod Lites, 4 Cylinders and V6 completing the card.

Wreckfest 2020 is now a two-day show on October 10 and 11. The October 10th program will feature a compact demolition derby, truck demo derby, V8 demolition derby, and much more. The October 11th event features the Figure 8 Canadian Championships plus Enduro racing. The October 11th show will have events both in the afternoon and in the evening.

Registration forms for each event will be posted online. Drivers must register and payments through e-transfer for each week. Registrations are now open for the Enduro 100 in September with Wreckfest Registrations almost sold out.
