BRIGHTON, ONT – Track promoters Angela and Mark Rinaldi will be celebrating the Brighton Speedway’s 50 th consecutive year of operation this year and once again the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club will be on the card for two big events.
The first will be on Saturday, July 15 th. during the track’s 50 th Anniversary Nostalgia Night. There will be a live band and many of the EOVSCC cars on display from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the courtyard before the races. Last year Brighton Speedway Canadian Modified regular Shawn Gregory hopped into his brother Brandon’s AMC Spirit bodied machine and surprised the field to capture the 15 lap feature go.
The second event will be the EOVSCC season finale on Friday, September 22 nd, as part of the big Applefest weekend. Last year Brian Comeau made a triumphant return to capture the feature go. This race traditionally has always seen large fields but records should be broken in 2017 as the Club will see 10 to 12 new and returning faces this year. For 2017 Applefest will be a non points event.
Hope to see all our fans of our unique brand of racing at either or both dates as we help Brighton celebrate the big 5 – 0!
