Ollie’s Cajun Swing Closes ’22 STSS Season

By Chris Moore

SHREVEPORT, LA – One last hurrah!

The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco prepares for its final week of racing with the third annual Ollie’s ‘Cajun Swing’ presented by Wegner Automotive.

An historic season of racing for the STSS closes out with a first-ever visit to the state of Texas and another $20,000-to-win main event in Louisiana, the seventh $20k-plus prize handed out by the series in this calendar year.

The five-night swing kicks off on Tuesday, Nov. 8 and extends through Saturday, Nov. 12 when the Northeastern STSS representatives take on the budding stars of the Ollie’s ‘Cajun Region’ completing its second season.

The STSS Modifieds of the Northeast invade the state of Texas for the first time on Tuesday (Nov. 8) and Wednesday (Nov. 9) when they visit Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas.

Tuesday night’s affair is a $4,000-to-win, 30-lap affair, while Wednesday night’s racing program ups the ante to a $5,000 winner’s share for 35-laps at the state-of-the-art facility.

Following the back-to-back nights in Texas, the STSS picks up and heads east across the Texas-Louisiana border to Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La.

The super racy three-eighths-mile oval hosts a 35-lap, $4,000-to-win feature event.

After a one-night stay at Ark-La-Tex, the STSS ventures to Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La., to round out the week of racing.

Boothill Speedway, celebrating its milestone 50th season of racing in ‘22, hosts back-to-back nights of racing on Friday (Nov. 11) and Saturday (Nov. 12) to close out the ‘Cajun Swing’ and the season.

Friday night’s affair see’s the STSS Modifieds go for 30 laps for a $4,000 top prize before the culmination of the week of racing on Saturday.

The week concludes with the ‘Gunslinger 50,’ a 50-lap shootout with a $20,000 winner’s share available.
