WOODHULL, NY-Superior Propane of Woodhull, NY will present the Fast and Furious Front Wheel Drive Special event set for Saturday, May 13, 2023.
“The Wicked Tee’s sponsored FWD Division doesn’t ever race for this kind of money, so we are in hopes that by offering to pay big bucks for a 25 lap feature event it will draw the attention of FWD teams from all the across the region. $1,000 to win is really good money for whoever can claim the win in our first ever Fast and Furious Event.” That according to Woodhull Raceway owners, Terry and Niki Brewer.
In 2022, second generation driver, Wes Houghtaling claimed the Wicked Tee’s FWD title, however it did not come easy as Ryan Austin game his fits throughout most of the season. They, along with the likes of Adam DelGrosso and Kevin Doud, just to name a few will be looking to claim the $1,000 winners check.
Also, on the nightly card it will be the Insinger Performance Modifieds along with the NAPA Crate Sportsman and the Doug Gross Construction RUSH Late Models. Rounding out the Great 8 Show will be the Southern Tier Customs Street Stocks, as well as the Wicked Tee’s Mini Stocks and Warrior Divisions as well as the KMD Excavating Hobby Stocks.
During intermission there will be a Power Wheels Competition with more information currently posted on the tracks Facebook account.
Spring weather can be fickle in the Upstate New York Region and after a pair of very successful test and tune sessions in early April, Mother Nature has been the biggest winner at Woodhull thus far in 2023 as the track lost both of the opening two events on April 22 and 29.
Countless other venues all across the northeast have also suffered through several weeks of wet weather and now with the calendar flipped to the month of May, everyone is hoping that better days lay ahead with more favorable weather conditions.
Superior Propane is located in Woodhull, NY and will be the headline sponsor of the May 13 Fast and Furious FWD card.
