NEW EGYPT, NJ – The first of four planned Open Practice sessions will be held this Saturday March 25 at New Egypt Speedway. Drivers in all five our weekly divisions of 358 Modifieds, Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars, Sportsman, Crate Modifieds and Street Stocks will be in action. Grandstand admission will be totally free.
Pit Gates will open at 10:00AM for Tech Inspection and Practice will run from 12PM-4PM, any racecar that is New Jersey legal is welcome to take part in the practice session. Pit Admission will be $25.
The focus will then turn to New Egypt Speedway’s 20th Annual Opening Night on April 1st. This season marks the 20th year that New Egypt Speedway has been a dirt track and the new management plans to kick it off in style. The headlining 358 Modifieds will be in action where Ryan Godown looks to defend his track championship against the likes of Billy Pauch Jr., Danny Bouc, David VanHorn, Willie Osmun and many more. The newly named Hammer Sportsman Division along with the Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars and Lyons Construcion/Metal Fab Rookie Sportsman division will all be in competition on Saturday April 1st.
Pit Gates will open at 3PM on April 1st, Spectator Gates will open at 4PM, Hot-Laps will hit the speedway at 5PM and the first green-flag of 2017 is scheduled to fly at 6PM. Admission to the grandstand is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors 65 and older, $10 for teens 12-15, $10 for military personal and their spouses with ID, and Kids 11 & Under are FREE. Pit admission is $30 with a New Egypt Speedway license and $40 with no license.
