Small-Block Modifieds Highlight the Racing Saturday Night, July 22 at OCFS

MIDDLETOWN, NY – The lightning quick Small-Block Modifieds highlight the four-division stock car racing program at the five-eighths-mile “Hard Clay” Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York on Saturday, July 22, the final weekend of the 177TH Annual Orange County Fair

With sponsorship from Rock Fantasy and Steve Dodd Plumbing & Heating, the evening of speedway action will include a four-division racing program anchored by the Big-Block Modifieds competing for the top prize of $2,500 in a 30-lap feature race. They’ll be joined by the Small-Block Modifieds racing in a 25-lap feature race. Also on the card are the Sportsman and Street Stock divisions in qualifying and feature event races.

With just five more nights of racing remaining in the 2017 point season, drivers will be out to cement their positions in the standings. In the headline Modified division, Jimmy Horton, Tommy Meier, and Jerry Higbie—all three current or former track champions—are in a tight battle for track supremacy. Anthony Perrego, Craig Mitchell, and Tyler Boniface top the Small-Block Modified point standings. Speedster Joey Brunings Jr. is Sportsman point leader. Trailing are Jesse Leiby and Greg Sleight. Finally, Mike Vigiletti leads the Street Stock division ahead of Joel Murns Jr., and Jim Hajkowski. All will be racing on Saturday night.
