Summer Racing Action June 23 at Orange County Fair Speedway

MIDDLETOWN, NY – Get ready for an exciting night of high-speed racing action on Saturday, June 23 at the historic five-eighths-mile “Hard Clay” Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York.

The evening’s schedule includes a regular four-division racing program featuring Big-Block Modifieds, Sportsman, Rookie Sportsman, and Street Stock race cars in qualifying heats and feature races. The evening’s program is sponsored by Hig Fab Chassis.

Racing this past Saturday in the headline Big-Block Modified division, former track champion Tommy Meier edged out veteran driver and also former track champion Rich Eurich in a thrilling 30-lap feature that wasn’t decided until the final lap. Defending point champion Jimmy Horton finished third and two-time 2018 winner Anthony Perrego came home fourth.

Jared LaBagh won the thrill-a-minute Sportsman division 20-lap feature, his first of the year, while three-time 2018 victor Jesse Leiby could only muster a seventh-place finish. Leiby, however, continues to lead the Sportsman drivers in the overall point standings.

Jim Hajkowski was the winner in the Street Stock division.

These drivers and more than 100 others will be ready to race this coming Saturday on the “new” Orange County Hard Clay track surface. Come and enjoy the races in the refurbished chair seat main grandstand, the new totally rebuilt half-covered stands with the high-level Party Deck, or bring the whole gang in the car and watch the action from Orange County’s unique drive-in section.

Admission prices for the June 23 race meet remain at $15 adults, $13 seniors, and $1.00 for children 10 and under. There is a $1.00 car charge for the drive-in section. The full night of racing begins promptly at 6:30 pm.
