Hey! Hey! Let’s Go to the Orange County Fair with Two Races Planned

MIDDLETOWN, NY – During the 178th Annual Orange County Fair in Middletown, New York, the historic five-eighths-mile Hard Clay speedway will host two stock car racing meets. First, on Saturday, July 14, as part of the season-long weekly racing schedule, a four division program of Big-Block Modified, Sportsman, Rookie Sportsman, and Street Stock races is set to thrill fair attendees.

Then on Thursday, July 19, following an absence of several years, the Super DIRTcar Modified Series returns with a 100-lap, $10,000-to-win feature race. An open competition (providing the entrants meet Orange County rules) Small-Block Modified $3,000-to-win race is the undercard.

Should one driver win both feature races, there’s a special $3,000 bonus award.

Time trials, heat and consolation races will set the fields for both feature races.

Special admission prices will be in effect for both fair race meets:

For the Saturday, July 14 event, adult admission to the fair is $8.00. There is no extra charge to enter the stands to watch the races. For fans wishing to watch the races from the unique drive-in section, which does not include fair admission, the standard admission remains: $15 adult, $13 seniors, and $1.00 children 10 and under. There is a $1.00 car charge for the drive-in section. Parking is free. Falanga Trucking is the July 14 sponsor.

For the Thursday, July 19 Super DIRTcar Modified Series race, the adult general admission is $30, children 10 and under $10. Admission to the fairgrounds is $1.00. Tickets purchased in advance, either at the speedway office or from the internet site, will include fair admission at no additional cost. Parking is free.
