MIDDLETOWN, NY – There will be no racing this coming Saturday, May 25 at Orange County Fair Speedway (OCFS) in Middletown, New York, to give fans and competitors the opportunity to take part in their community’s Memorial Weekend remembrances. Racing will resume the following week, Saturday, June 1, with the 13th Annual Nostalgia Night. In addition to the on-track Big-Block Modified and Sportsman racing action, Nostalgia Night promises to be a fun-filled evening of remembrance, autographs, and interviews as OCFS continues to celebrate its long and glorious century of motorsports history.
The format for the evening’s racing excitement includes the Big-Block Modifieds and Sportsman divisions with each competing in a qualify events and feature races. In the headline Modifieds feature race, the drivers will vying for a lucrative $3,300 first place prize money.
An extended intermission period will allow fans to interact and get autographs with the more than 100 returning stars of the Orange County Hard Clay track. A special Nostalgia Night poster will also be available at no charge for fans’ autograph collecting. In addition, fans will be able to purchase a special “Nostalgia Night” tee shirt from Dave’s Racing Collectibles store.
Adult admission to Orange County Fair Speedway weekly races is $20, with children 10 and under $5.00. There is a $1.00 car fee for the Drive-In section. Race fans will receive a free program as they pass through the turnstiles.
The competitor pits open at 2:30 pm; spectator gates and Drive-In at 4:00 pm. Racing begins at 6:00 pm. Rain date for Nostalgia Night is Sunday, June 2.
The 2019 season marks Orange County Fair Speedway’s second year under the stewardship of Orange Motorsports and Entertainment LLC. Look for continued changes and improvements to the historic speedway as the season progresses.
