MIDDLETOWN, NY – Stewart Friesen and Matt Sheppard split a pair of 50-lap main-events at the Orange County Fair Speedway on Thursday night.
In the first main-event, Friesen took the lead early and then held off challenges from Sheppard and Tyler Dippel late in the go. He picked up $5,000 for the win. Sheppard finished second followed by Dippel, Billy Decker, and Anthony Perrego.
In the nightcap, Sheppard started 12th and worked his way forward taking the lead from Jessica Friesen on a mid-race restart. He was never threatened from that point forward to claim the $5,000 paycheck. Decker finished second followed by Jessica, Stewart and Craig Mitchell.
