DUNDEE, NY – The 2017 running of the Tony Stewart promoted Artic Cat All Star Series for the 410 Sprints played to the largest crowd ever recorded at the Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, NY. By popular demand the highly acclaimed touring group will make not one but two appearances at the track in 2018 with round one being held on Friday night, June 8. The second race of the “18” season is scheduled for September 14.
Last year a phenomenal feature event was contested on the super smooth and ultra- fast 4/10 of a mile clay oval where a quartet of cars came to the checkered flag under a blanket photo finish and this year’s event has all the makings of a repeat performance as the Tony Stewart led Arctic Cat 410 All Star Series continues to gain momentum.
Ryan Smith came away victorious in last year’s event at Outlaw chased across the line by Chad Kemenah, Sammy Swindell and Dan Dietrich. Stewart rounded out the top five. In addition to Smith, Kemenah and Dietrich other drivers that follow the circuit like “The Wild Child” Jac Haudenschild, Dave Blaney, Tim Shaffer, Eric Reutzel and Parker Price- Miller are all confirmed entries. It is anticipated that a number of local competitors that have access to 410 power plants including many time Outlaw Speedway winner, Jared Zimbardi will be in action as well as some of the top Pennsylvania Posse drivers. It should also be noted that with Stateline Speedway in Busti, NY running the following night as well at Weedsport hosting the Arctic Cat All Star Series on Sunday makes it a trifecta of race venues in the Upstate Region hosting the popular 410 Sprint Series which undoubtedly will entice even more sprint teams to travel to the area making this a cant’ miss show so make your plans now to attend.
At the time of this writing Tony Stewart has adjusted his schedule and plans on making an appearance at Outlaw Speedway for the June 8 Show. In addition to the 410 Sprints, also seeing action will be the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Big Block/Small Block Modifieds along with the Crate Sportsman and the classy Street Stocks. The Decker Farmers Insurance IMCA Modifieds and the 4 Cylinders round out the Super 5 card.
The night of action will be presented by Tioga Downs Casino, Resort and Harness Racing Facility in Nichols, NY. This will mark the first of three nights that the popular Southern Tier gaming and resort facility will sponsor at the Yates County oval with the other events including the second Tony Stewart 410 Sprint Show on September 14 along with the World of Outlaw Late Models program scheduled for September 21, 2018.
