It brings us great sadness here at DirtTrackDigest.com to report that Pennsylvania Posse member Greg Hodnett has passed away following a crash while competing on Thursday night at the BAPS Motors Speedway.
We would like to off our condolences and we send our prayers to the family and friends of Hodnett during this difficult time. We also send our thoughts to the entire Heffner Racing Enterprises team.
Hodnett, of Spring Grove, Pa., was one of the most popular drivers in Central Pennsylvania over the past several years and was recently honored by the Port Royal Speedway for his contributions there. This past August Hodnett captured a win on preliminary night of the Knoxville Nationals.
Hodnett, 48, will be missed by all of us here at DTD. He was a great individual with a passion like no other for sprint car racing. His analytical approach was second to none. He was truly one of nicest guys in the pits.
