Test, Tune, and Time Canceled; Practice Session Scheduled for May 2 at Ransomville Speedway

RANSOMVILLE, NY – Due to an unseasonably wet Spring, Ransomville Speedway management has been forced to cancel Test, Tune, and Time scheduled for Friday, April 27.

An open practice will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 6:30 pm with the gates opening at 5 pm. Pit admission will be $20.00 with grandstands being free for fans to see the cars hit the track before the 61st season opener on Friday, May 4.

Tech officials will be on hand to pre-tech all evening long Wednesday night. Drivers are encouraged to bring their transponders as the My Laps system as well as Race Monitor will be up. Realizing that it may be difficult for some to attend practice on a work night, we will not time trial on practice night. The Friday, May 4th opener will set the field by a draw for heats, with a redraw after the heats.

The drums of VP Fuel will be awarded to the cars in the Sportsman and 358 class that has the fastest lap time in their respective features on May 4th. We will use My Laps to determine this. Any questions or concerns, contact Jennifer Martin through a private message or call the track at 716-791-3602

After practice on Wednesday night, the focus will shift to Friday, May 4 as VP Racing Small Engine Fuels presents the 61st season opener! The Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Investor’s Service Sportsman, KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippster’s Collision 4 Bangers, and Stevenson’s Hardware Novice Sportsman will all begin their quest towards the 2018 track championship. Pit gates will open at 5 pm with grandstands opening at 6 pm and racing will begin at 7:15 pm. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, seniors are $13, and kids are $8.
