Ransomville Remembers Sean Letts This Friday

RANSOMVILLE, NY-Ransomville Speedway will be remembering one of its own this coming Friday night, August 4 for the Sean Letts Memorial for the Hy-Tech Concrete Sportsman. The racing program featuring the Krown Undercoating Modifieds, KiPo Motors Street Stocks, Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks, and the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman.

Sean Letts tragically passed away in March 2018 at the age of 30. Sean was a graduate of Lew-Port Central School and attended the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, NC. Sean was an avid sportsman and enjoyed being behind the wheel of a racecar. The #40SL was competitive in every race that Sean drove, including visiting victory lane in both the Sportsman and Street Stock ranks at Ransomville Speedway.

The Hy-Tech Concrete DIRTcar Sportsman division has arguably one of the toughest fields week in and week out, with any driver being able to take the checkered flag. Entering Friday night, reigning track champion Derek Wagner has a one-point lead over Jim Harbison, a 22-point lead over Cam Tuttle, and a 27-point lead over Brett Senek. Nelson Mason and reigning Mr. DIRT Cody McPherson each has three feature wins, while Senek and Wagner each have two victories.

Joining the full Ransomville program will be the Vintage Cars. Making their annual pilgrimage to Ransomville, the cars of yesteryear will take center stage with exciting wheel to wheel racing.

Pit Gates on Friday will open at 5pm, grandstands open at 6pm, and racing will get underway at 7:15pm. For those unable to attend in person, catch the action live on Dirt Track Digest TV.
