BATAVIA, NY – A wild stretch of four races in 16 days, including two midweek shows has come and gone and now the focus turns to the final stretch of the 2017 regular season at the Genesee Speedway. The extra few days off should give teams a chance to survey the points, as well as retool for a run at their first or another win or two in 2017.

This Saturday, July 29, AJ’s Trailer Sales and Marx Vinyl Graphics will present a “Super 6 at 6:00” program.

JJ Mazur leads the MHL Performance Crate Late Models by 11 points, now over Jimmy Johnson as Zack Carley is back to third in the standings. Bill Holmes is close as well, only 16 points away from the top spot.

The Sportsman had their biggest race to date on Thursday, but it was show-up points only; this mean that even though Andrew Smith was declared the winner for the second time this year, he remains 24 markers back of defending champion Kyle Inman.

After a week off, the Ken’s Charcoal Pits & BBQ 360 Late Models are back in action, with their super-tight point still intact. Defending Champion Dave DuBois is just two points ahead of Tommy Kemp and just seven ahead of John Zimmerman, the most recent winner.

The Yasses Trucking Street Stocks saw some major point race swings last Thursday as Byron Dewitt surrendered the top spot after not being able to start the feature. Mike Jackson, off his second win of the year, now is just one point ahead of Dewitt in pursuit of his first track championship. Butch Zimmerman and Jesse Qutermous are still within striking distance, especially considering what happened on Thursday.

After shaking off early-season gremlins, Dante Mancuso has finally moved to the top of the Pellegrino Auto Sales Mini Stock standings. James Gayton has now slipped back to second, just ahead of Mike Taddonio who remains in the race.

The DML Driveway Sealing Bandits put on another epic battle in Thursday’s event, with Jessica Traxler coming out on top for the fifth time this year. She now holds an 18 point lead over Bailey Logsdon, with almost every Bandit regular still in the mix.

Pit gates will swing open at 4:30 P.M. while the front gates will open up at 5:00 P.M. For more information, visit www.Genesee-Speedway.com.
