WEST HAVEN, VT – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has made a change to the starting time of its “Fireworks Spectacular” on Tuesday, July 3. In anticipation of the expected heat wave, the event has been pushed back one hour to help alleviate some of the heat concerns.
Racing on the half-mile dirt track will now begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday night, while a massive fireworks show will start at approximately 9:30 p.m. as previously planned. Six racing divisions will be in action including the Sprint Cars of New England tour and all of Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series classes. The event is presented by Bruno’s Towing & Recovery.
In addition to the racing and fireworks, the event also features the annual Kids Bicycle Giveaway at intermission, giving young fans the chance to win new bikes donated by drivers and race teams.
Special event admission on Tuesday, July 3, is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, $5 for teens (13-17), and free for kids age 12 and under. Grandstand gates now open an hour later at 5:30 p.m., and racing starts at 7:00 p.m. Camping is free and opens on Sunday at 12:00 noon.
There is no racing scheduled for Sunday, July 1. Weekly Sunday night racing resumes on July 8.
