WILIS, TX – NASCAR star Kasey Kahne is tentatively scheduled to compete with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series in the inaugural Gator Outlaw Bash at Gator Motorplex in Willis, Texas on Thursday, April 13.
Kahne, who owns a pair of World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series teams, traditionally has raced his sprint car on Easter Weekend, which is an off weekend for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. In fact, he was victorious last year on Easter Weekend in Pennsylvania. Kahne picked up another sprint car win last year in July at Ohsweken Speedway in Canada.
The Washington native, who calls the Charlotte area home, made his most recent appearance with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series last season at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana. With a solid 34-car field in attendance, he raced his way into the main event and finished 14th.
Kahne, who cut his teeth racing winged sprint cars, has 17 career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series wins, eight Xfinity Series wins and five victories in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Kahne also has been victorious with the USAC National Midget Series, where he won the 2000 championship, as well as scoring wins with the USAC Silver Crown Series and Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.
The No. 4 machine that Kahne will pilot with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series has a new look this season, with iRacing on-board as a partner of Kasey Kahne Racing.
