LAKE ODESSA, MI – Tickets are now on sale for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series return to I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich., on Friday, June 1. Tickets can be purchased online at slspromotions.ticketforce.com or by calling SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023. The event will be the series only race of the season in the state of Michigan.
In the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series most recent visit to I-96 Speedway in 2016, David Gravel was victorious. Brad Sweet, who drives for Kasey Kahne Racing, won at I-96 Speedway for the first time in his career in 2015. Donny Schatz, the nine-time and defending series champion, won his first race at I-96 Speedway in 2014. A total of seven different drivers have visited victory lane in the last seven events for the series at I-96 Speedway.
Battling Schatz, Gravel and Sweet in 2017 is a talented group of full-time competitors, including Sheldon Haudenschild, who already has three wins this season and is second in points, Daryn Pittman, the 2013 series champion, Shane Stewart, who is a past winner in the state of Michigan, Jason Johnson, the 2016 winner of the Knoxville Nationals, fan favorite Jason Sides, third-generation driver Kraig Kinser, Tim Shaffer, who won the Knoxville Nationals in 2010 and Greg Wilson, the Outlaws top rookie in 2016.
Logan Schuchart, who picked up four wins last season, leads the next generation of drivers, along with his Shark Racing teammate Jacob Allen, as well teenager Clyde Knipp from Missouri and sophomore driver and Brent Marks. Ian Madsen and Dane Lorenc are each in the midst of their first full season on the road with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
