FARLEY, IA – Tickets are now on sale for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series return to Farley Speedway in Iowa on Friday, June 22. Tickets can be purchased online at slspromotions.ticketforce.com or by calling SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023.
The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series last visited Farley Speedway in 1994, with 20-time series champion Steve Kinser picking up the win. Kinser also won in 1993 at the track, while three-time series titlist and fellow Hall of Famer Sammy Swindell was victorious in the inaugural Outlaws race at Farley Speedway in 1992. Those three events were contested on the original half-mile configuration of the track. The track is now a three-eighths-mile.
Leading the way this year is nine-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz, who has six wins and sits atop the standings. Sheldon Haudenschild, who is having a breakout year, with three wins already this season is third in the standing. Brad Sweet, who recently picked up his first victory of the season is second in the standings.
Battling Schatz, Haudenschild and Sweet in 2018 is stout group of full-time competitors, including David Gravel, who won a career-high 18 A-Feature events last year, 2013 series champion Daryn Pittman, along with fellow veteran drivers Shane Stewart, Jason Johnson, Kraig Kinser, Jason Sides and Greg Wilson.
Young drivers Logan Schuchart, Jacob Allen, Clyde Knipp and Brent Marks are all back on the road full-time in 2018. Ian Madsen and Dane Lorenc are on the road with the Outlaws for the first time in 2018.
