SELINSGROVE, PA – Selinsgrove Speedway’s lineup of special events this summer continues this Saturday, June 24, with a four division racing card featuring the 360 sprint cars, super late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners on Kids’ Night. The speedway will also welcome members of the York County Racing Club.
Track gates will open at 5 p.m. with qualifying slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. Regular admission prices will be in effect for the June 24 program: Adults only $12; Students (12-17) only $7; kids 11 and under FREE; pit passes $25
Fans of all ages will have the opportunity to meet several drivers and see their race cars up close in the grandstand midway as part of a pre-race autograph session. There will be activities and giveaways as part of the Kids’ Night program dedicated to the memory of life-long race fan Carol Stuck who passed away last fall.
At intermission, children ages 12 and under will have the opportunity to race their big wheels, power wheels, and bicycles down the frontstretch. Winners in each of the age groups will receive trophies. All participants will be required to wear helmets.
The 360 sprint cars and super late models will each run 25-lap main events. This Saturday’s race will offer $125, $100, and $75 bonuses to the top three finishing 358 sprint car drivers in the 360 sprint car feature.
The pro stocks will compete in a 15-lap feature, with the roadrunners capping off the night in a special $400-to-win 12-lap race.
The speedway and community will kick of the Fourth of July holiday on Saturday, July 1, with the annual Selinsgrove Ford Market Street Race Car Parade at 4 p.m.
Prior to the parade race cars will be on display on the dealership lot.
The July 1 racing program will feature the 360 sprint cars in the $3,000-to-win Firecracker 30. The super late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners will also compete for additional purse money sponsored by Selinsgrove Ford. A professional fireworks display will highlight the show!
Selinsgrove Raceway Park is back in action at 7 p.m. this Friday, June 23, with a complete program of go kart racing. The adult cage animal class will be featured in a $200-to-win pro series race. Track gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Selinsgrove Raceway Park will hold the annual Middleswarth Potato Chips Firecracker Special for go karts at 7 p.m. Friday, June 30.
