PORT ROYAL, PA – Dotterer Equipment Company will present Kids Night at Port Royal Speedway coming up this Saturday, July 15 with gates opening at 5 pm and racing slated for 7 pm.
Hundreds of prizes will be up for grabs by kids ages 12 and younger with registration beginning when gates open at 5 pm.
Kids bicycle and big wheel races for ages 12 and under will take place on the speedway frontstretch during intermission.
On-track racing action features the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprint cars, the River Valley Builders super late models, the Gray’s Auto and Towing econo late models and the Juniata Junction xtreme stocks.
The econo late models will compete in the make-up Dave Kepner tribute event that was originally slated for July 6.
The extra-distance Kepner tribute, honoring the late speedway Hobby Stock division track champion and Juniata County Agricultural Society Fairboard member, will pay $1,200 to win.
As part of Kids Night, WQKX 94.1 FM will host a live remote radio broadcast from the speedway from 5 – 7 pm.
94KX will host prize drawings for fans as well as for youngsters along with live radio interviews.
