PORT ROYAL, PA – Port Royal Speedway will present Slivinski Law Offices Salute To The Military Night/Fan Appreciation Night coming up on Saturday, August 5 at 7 pm.
The night will also include the Pennian Bank Kids Money Scramble.
All members of the military past or present will receive free general admission for the racing program while regular adult general admission for the show has been lowered to JUST $10.
On the track will be the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, the River Valley Builders super late models, the Creasy Signs 305 sprints and the Juniata Junction xtreme stocks.
Gates open at 5 pm.
Following practice laps, youth ages 12 and under will take part in the Pennian Bank Money Scramble with some $500 in silver coins being up for grabs.
The super late models will compete in a tune-up event for the upcoming August 19 World of Outlaws Late Models invasion.
The super late models will race for $2,000 to win and $200 to start in a special 25-lap main event.
The xtreme stocks will also compete for an increased purse on the night with an additional $500 pumped into the show in memory of Walt Peters. The division will also race in four-lap heats and an 18-lap main event.
Speedway officials announced on July 29 that the August 5 show would be Fan Appreciation Night, offering $10 adult general admission for a racing program of 410 sprints, super late models, 305 sprints and xtreme stocks.
The up tick in the super late model program for August 5 was also announced on July 29.
