PORT ROYAL, PA – Port Royal Speedway returns to action coming up this Saturday, October 6 at 5 pm with the Keystone RaceSaver Interregional 305 Sprint Challenge plus three divisions of stock cars.
Also on the program will be the Mason Dixon Shootout Series for limited late models plus Juniata Junction xtreme stocks and four cylinder pure stocks.
The limited late models and the xtreme stocks will both compete in $1,000 to win main events.
The completion of the xtreme stock feature will serve to crown the 2018 track champion in the division.
The 305 sprints will compete in the RaceSaver Challenge for the seventh consecutive year as the event was first run in 2012.
Previous winners have been Sean Campbell, 2012; Jake Waters, 2013; Jeff Geiges, 2014; Jeff Miller, 2015/2016; and Kyle Smith, 2017.
Saturday’s total purse for the 305 sprints eclipses $15,000 with the feature paying out $800 to win and $400 just to start.
To date, over 50 cars have pre-registered for the big 305 sprint event that will bring together cars and drivers from several RaceSaver regions across the east.
Adult general admission for the show is set at $15 with students ages 12 – 18 admitted for just $7.
All gates will open at 2 pm.
The raindate for the RaceSaver Challenge event is set for Saturday, October 20.
The historic oval returns to action on Friday, October 12 with a big show for modified and sprint car fans alike when the Short Track Super Series for Big & Small Block Modifieds competes for $5,000 to win along with a $4,000 to win 410 sprint program.
The track will host Open Wheel Madness III on Saturday, October 20 when it sprints off programs for 410 sprints, URC Sprints and 305 sprints.
And then the season will end with a huge two-day World of Outlaws Sprint Cars program featuring the Nittany Showdown on Friday night, October 26 and the make-up of the 51st annual Tuscarora 50 paying $51,000 to win on Saturday, October 27.
