PORT ROYAL, PA (July 6, 2022)- This one is for the kids! Bring the little ones to the Port Royal Speedway for Kids Night this Saturday and a three-division show featuring the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, Krill Recycling, LLC Super Late Models and Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Models. As an added bonus, the Super Late Models will also be taking part in a make-up feature event from earlier in the season.
Along with a lot of great racing, there will be thousands of dollars worth of toys to give away to the kids with gift bags, games, drinks and more. There will also be race cars on display along with several kids activities and Bicycle and Power Wheels races.
Gates open at 4:00 pm and at that time kids will be able to get their prize tickets and complete all bike registration under the pavilion. Prizes will be in the commercial building on a first come, first serve basis and YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET and be with a parent/guardian.
Bike races ages are as follows:
0-4 Power Wheels, 0-4 Bikes, 5-6 Bikes, 7-8 Bikes, 9-10 Bikes and 11-12 Bikes. All participants are REQUIRED to wear a helmet.
Gates open at 4pm while Racing is scheduled to kick off at 7pm. GA- $20, Students- $10, Pits- $30
Most recently in Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Car action, Brent Marks picked up the win during Pennsylvania Speedweek on his way to scoring the 2022 Speedweek Championship title. Logan Wagner currently sits on top of the series points standings with a 225-point advantage over his father, Mike Wagner. Jeff Halligan (-355), Lucas Wolfe (-485) and Dylan Cisney (-545) complete the top-five.
In Krill Recycling Super Late Model action, Rick Eckert enters as the most recent winner in the division as he put a stop to Colton Flinner’s dominance in weekly competition this season. Flinner sits at the top of the point standings by a 155-point margin over Gary Stuhler. Chad Myers (-540), Mike Lupfer (-610) and Eckert (-700) complete the top-five.
Finally in Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Model competition, Dillan Stake holds a commanding 175-point advantage over Shawn Shoemaker. Todd Snook (-190), Trent Brenneman (-215) and Ryan Zook (-225) in the standings.
