Michael Maresca Earns $3,000 Victory In BAPS Season Finale

SUSQUEHANNA, PA – Michael Maresca was victorious on Saturday night in the BAPS Motor Speedway Season finale for the Modifieds.  Billy Pauch Jr finished in the runner up spot with Frank Cozze, Danny Bouc and Ryan Watt completing the top five.

Maresca won the 30-lap affair after an entertaining battle with Cozze and Pauch Jr. to take the victory.

Cozze started on the pole and led the first two circuits before Pauch took over for the next nine laps. Cozze didn’t go away and retook the lead on Lap 12, with Pauch and the fast-closing Maresca in striking distance.

Maresca, who started seventh on the grid, was running third on Lap 23. One lap later, he shot past Pauch and Cozze to take over the lead.

Once out front, Maresca drove away to the 2.884-second victory. Pauch passed Cozze for second, with Danny Bouc and Ryan Watt completing the top five.
