NYIRP at Lancaster Speedway & Dragway Set to Open 2021 Season June 12

LANCASTER, NY – With the 2021 season for the Stock Car program at New York International Raceway Park at Lancaster Speedway & Dragway just a day away, speedway management would like to announce the following details regarding the season.

The Sportsman will pay $1,200 to win. The Late Models will race for a top prize of $1,000. The Super Stocks will race for $700 to win, while the Street Stocks will race for $250 to win. The 4 Cylinders will race for $150 to win and the Jerry Gradl Motors NYPA TQ Midgets will race for $100 to win.

The Speedway announced that for the Ol’ Boy Cup 60 for the Tour-Type Modifieds on Thursday, July 1, the “Mighty Modifieds” will race for $3,000 to win.

NYIRP at Lancaster will be honoring 2020 memberships for the 2021 season. The membership list will be at the pit entrance for those who do not have their membership cards, membership cards will be handed out.

For the fans, speedway management is requesting respect for all to maintain social distancing. For those wanting to wear masks and face coverings, you may wear them, but will not be mandatory for all in the grandstands. The speedway will also be having a 50/50 benefiting the driver’s point fund. New and returning track officials are excited about the 2021 season and welcoming all the fans back to the facility.

The 2021 season gets underway this coming Saturday night, June 12 with a seven-division program featuring the Sportsman, 602 Sportsman, Late Models, Super Stocks, Street Stocks, Jerry Gradl Motors NYPA TQ Midgets, and the 4 Cylinders. Pit gates open at 2:30 pm with grandstands opening at 5:00 pm and racing getting underway at 6:30 pm. General Admission is $18 for adults and kids 11 and under are FREE. Military, Veterans, First Responders are ½ off at the box office with ID. Pit admission is $35 for members and $40 for non-members.
