Dig Safely New York to Support Weedsport Speedway’s Special Event Calendar

WEEDSPORT, NY – A longtime supporter of Central New York dirt track racing, Dig Safely New York will once again partner with Weedsport Speedway for its 11-race special event calendar in 2018.

Established in 1969, Dig Safely New York is the one-call center serving as a link between customers and underground utility operators.

Dig Safely New York works to promote an easier, safe digging environment, and serves the entire state of New York outside of Long Island and New York City.

Headquartered in East Syracuse, NY, Dig Safely New York’s Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) in their East Syracuse and Latham, NY, call centers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to receive calls regarding planned excavations. CSRs then distribute the information from these calls to, on average, six facility owners/operators.

Excavators, contractors, design engineers, and home/property owners can place a location request by calling Dig Safely New York toll free at 811 or 1-800-962-7962.

“Race season is coming up fast and we are pleased to have Dig Safely New York back on board with us at Weedsport Speedway,” said Weedsport Speedway promoter, Jimmy Phelps. “Their dedication to our sport over the years has been fantastic and we are happy to work alongside their great team again this season.”
